Tays Hatanpää Hospital

Since 1 January 2018, Tays Hatanpää Hospital has been a part of Tampere University Hospital. We provide both outpatient and inpatient care and treatment in several speciality fields. Tays Hatanpää Hospital focuses on non-urgent specialised health care, surgery requiring inpatient care, and day surgery. The operations of the home hospital will also continue.

The hospital’s operations are divided between two buildings. Surgery, internal medicine, infectious diseases and general practice units are located in the Hatanpää main building. Neurology and geriatrics units are located in the Park Hospital building.

Treatment in Tays Hatanpää Hospital

Tays Hatanpää Hospital provides specialised outpatient health care in several speciality fields: plastic surgery, orthopaedics, physiatry, neurology, otorhinolaryngology, gastroenterology, vascular surgery, general surgery, gynaecology, internal medicine, haematology, rheumatology, cardiology, geriatrics and bariatrics, i.e. treatment of obesity. Tays Hatanpää Hospital will also continue to offer prenatal ultrasound examinations.

Tays Hatanpää Hospital provides inpatient care in the fields of geriatrics, infectious diseases, surgery, neurology, internal medicine and general practice. The home hospital is a service that makes is possible for patients needing acute specialised health care to receive treatment at home.

Surgical procedures in the fields of hand surgery, orthopaedics, plastic surgery, general surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, vascular surgery, gynaecological surgery and otorhinolaryngologic surgery are performed in Tays Hatanpää Hospital. Based on the division of responsibilities regarding surgical operations in the various Tays hospitals, Hatanpää Hospital mainly offers surgery requiring inpatient care and day surgery.

Tays Hatanpää Hospital also offers extensive laboratory and radiology services associated with the various examinations and treatment provided to the patients.
