PeeTU

Paediatric Early Phase Clinical Trials Unit

Welcome to the Paediatric Clinical Trials Unit – PeeTU. We are based within the Tampere University Hospital and provide expertise, infrastructure and resources to conduct phase I-II clinical trials in children.

Our major goal is to provide access to early phase clinical trials for children with relapsed or refractory cancers, but we also aim to find novel agents to treat various other conditions in children and adolescents across paediatric subspecialties.

PeeTU will offer centralised clinical trial services (phase I-II) to the whole Finnish paediatric population. All trials are conducted in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and in keeping with national and international regulations.

The implementation of EU Paediatric Regulation (EY 1901/2006) increases the need to investagate new medical products via clinical trials in the paediatric population.
