Patient Hotel

If a patient does not need immediate hospital care in the ward, the patient may stay overnight in a patient hotel located in the area of the Tays Central Hospital. Family members can also stay overnight at a low cost in Norlandia Tampere Hotel.

The unit in charge of the patient's care will evaluate whether the patient can stay overnight in the patient hotel, and will then make the room reservation and inform the patient about the reservation when inviting them to the hospital. Upon agreement, the patient hotel may also be used during the treatment period.

A nurse is available at the hotel daily from 7:30 am to 9 pm. The nurse is available to administer different kinds of medical treatments and provide other assistance related to treatment. A nurse is also available at the hotel's reception around the clock. Patients may also request a security alarm bracelet.

Full board and lodging for patients

The hotel stay does not mean additional costs for the patient – only the standard hospital fee is charged. A patient who is transferred from a ward to the hotel is registered as an outpatient, and every day in the hotel costs outpatient fee € 41,20.The hospital will send the bill to the patient’s home address after the treatment.

Full board and lodging for patients includes the meals served at the restaurant.

If you stay at the hotel as part of your hospital treatment, bring along all medication you are taking, your hygiene products and a change of clothes.

Accommodation for family members

The room is reserved for one patient. If the patient agrees, family members may also stay in the same room at €40.93 per day or €81.86 for 2 persons per day. The price includes breakfast. Lunch at the hotel's restaurant costs €13 and dinner €15.

For those family members and friends who do not stay in the same room as the patient, the hotel offers accommodation, including breakfast, at €89 for a one-person room or €104 for a two-person room. Rooms and services

Norlandia Care Tampere Hotel has 130 rooms, a restaurant, a sauna, meeting rooms and a café open around the clock. The hotel rooms have a toilet and shower, a small fridge, a TV, a phone, air conditioning and an internet connection.

If you arrive by car, you can leave the car in the parking area immediately nearby the hotel. Parking outside costs €7.50 per day, and €13 per day in the parking hall. You can get a parking permit and instructions from the hotel's reception.
